我が子にハンディあると分かると、親は、
そのことを受け入れるのがなかなか難しく、
どう育てていいか、思い悩む人が多いと思います。
困ったことが、まだ起こっていなくても、
「障がいがある」ということが、どうしても頭から離れず、
「心配」になる場合もあると思います。
そして、専門の医師や、療育を知っている人と話す機会があれば、
相談も、度々するでしょう。
親の気持ちが落ち着くまでの間、様々な思いが錯誤して・・・・
ある方が、そんな時期に親子で相談したときの出来事を話してくださいました。
難しい表情で
「うちの子は、こんなこんな事があって、毎日困っているんですよ～、、
どうしたらいいでしょうか・・」
すると、その専門家の人からは、こんな風に言われたと言います。
「親の君たちが、この子の事で悩んでしまっていると、
見てごらんなさい！ 君たちの子どもの顔を・・
困っているじゃないか！
笑顔の親の側にいたいはずだよ」
ガツン！と、頭を打ったような衝撃だったのではないだろうか・・・？と感じました。
また、そういうふうに早期の段階で、言ってもらえたことは、
このご家族にとって幸運なことであっただろうと思いましたし、
東田直樹さんの言葉にも同じ意味のことがあった事も思い出しました。
以前、
ある方が、
私に、ハンディある子の親は、その後に生まれたハンディある親には、
聞きにくい 話しづらいであろう 事柄も こちらから突っ込んで話しをしてあげる事も大事だよ。
ハンディある子を持つ親の集まりだからこそ、「免疫」をつけてあげるんだ。・・・・と言ってくれたことがありました。
けれども、私は、とてもそんなことは出来ない。
わざと、突っ込んで 辛い部分を質問したりは、出来ない。
子どもへのまなざしも
それとなく、そのご家族が、気づいた時がいい時期だと、思ってきました。
けれども、それは、私自身が傷つかない方法であり、
気づいた時には、話しをしてあげたほうが、いい場合もあるな～と、気持ちが変わってきています。
それには、こちらもパワーが要りますし、、
それなりの間柄になってからの方がいい時もあるとも思います。
けれども、感情ではなく、
意見として、言えると、相手のためになる場合もあると
感じます。
私にできるか、どうかは分かりませんが・・・。
